The Flow State Aquatic Method™ Academy is coming — a certification pathway for swim teachers and aquatic educators ready to work differently in the water.

Most aquatic education teaches technique. Very little teaches what to do when a child’s nervous system says no — when the body freezes, the breath holds, or the wall becomes the only safe place in the pool.

The Flow State Aquatic Method is built around that moment. Developed over 20 years of ocean and pool coaching, it draws on polyvagal theory, systematic desensitisation, and a deep understanding of how children move through fear toward confidence in water.

The Academy will offer certified practitioner pathways for those who want to teach this way — with the knowledge, language, and practical tools to meet every child where they actually are.
