The Method, in your water, with your team
A full day with your instructors- learning to read the child in front of them, and letting that shape the lesson.
WHY WE BUILT IT
It started with the kids who weren’t getting there
Every instructor knows them. The child who won’t put their face in. The one who clings, or goes quiet, or plays up the moment the lesson starts. They turn up week after week, and something isn’t landing.
What we’ve found is that a child who’s dysregulated can’t take on a new skill- not won’t, can’t. The nervous system is busy doing something else. Once you can see that happening, the lesson changes completely, and so does the child.
That’s what the day is about. Not new drills. A new read.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN IN THE WATER
We come to your pool. Your team, your water, your own students.
Your instructors learnt he Method hands-on, not from a slide: the OAR Loop, the Baseline Read on Entry, the Play Index, the Cadence Matrix. Practised in real lessons until they’re not techniques anymore- just how your team teaches.
By the end, every instructor has a framework they can use on Monday morning.
An Annual Refresher keeps it that way- Simon comes back once a year to re-train what’s slipped and keep the whole team’s energy for it high.

THE PART THAT SURPRISES PEOPLE
Kids stay longer when they can see the finish line
It sounds backwards. Tell a child there’s an endgame with all this- a point where they’ve genuinely got this- and you’d think they’d leave once they reach it.
What actually happens is the opposite. A child who knows what they’re working towards works harder to get there. And when they arrive, they’ve felt what it’s like to achieve something in the water. Most of them want to go again.
The method is built around that. Visible progress, clear milestones, and a child who owns what they’ve learned rather than waiting to be told they’re ready.

THE PARENT IS WHO YOU’RE ACTUALLY SELLING TO
What we call in the sales industry “churn”
A child doesn’t decide whether they come back next term. Their parent does- based on what they see from the side of the pool, and what their child says in the car on the way home.
Which means every instructor’s job already includes something most training never covers: how you talk to that parent. Not a script, not a pitch- a clear, confident read-out of what’s happening for their child and why, delivered with the same skill the instructor uses to read the child in the water.
Your team learns to do this as part of the day. An instructor who can explain a child’s progress in a way a parent actually understands and trusts is an instructor who keeps that family enrolled- and who that parent talks about to other parents.

WHAT YOUR TEAM TAKES AWAY
Your poolside bible
Every instructor keeps a Reference Pack — printed and digital, designed for poolside, not a folder that goes in a drawer.
Your school is licensed to continue teaching the Method, including training the instructors who join you over the next 12 months.
And Simon stays reachable. When something comes up in a lesson, and nobody's sure what to do with it, you can ask.
